This is a scam. The disclaimer does not tell you that it is a timed trial. If you do not return the kit within 14 days, including delivery time you will be charged full price of $149 plus the initial free trial price plus $60 per month for cartridge fees plus random transaction fees. When you figure out the rip-off you the link is gone.
All this for a piece of crap that doesn’t even work.

So glad I read all your comments before purchasing this. I did want to recommend to anyone who is getting scammed, contact the BB Bureau in the state that bills your credit card. I did this with another business who pulled the same type of crap by offering a free trial and then charging more than shipping and handling. When I told them I wanted to send it back before being charged, they told me I could only get credit if I printed an RMA number on the package when returning it. I wrote the RMA on the outside and inside of the package & paid $10 to fedex it back. They refused to credit my account, charged me full price for a product I had returned. I had proof they had received my return but they claimed I had not put the RMA number on the box…..I filed an online claim with the BBB and within 2 weeks, my credit card received a credit.

The only good thing Prado has done is raise awareness that there is such a product that could replace tobacco and better the quality of life of its users. But the marketing and business practices are downright WRONG. To say the least there are websites that offer a superior product for far less than the so called “offer” that Prado has extended through every nuke and cranny of the web. Folks, please don’t give your business to these crooks and thives. How can they go to sleep at night. This is the only and last time I have ever been screwed like that. Just one more unhappy customer here. Won’t bother typing my bad experience with Prado because mine is the same as everyone else’s. My husband bought it for me with his best intentions, now the stupid thing doesn’t even work (quit after 3 days), customer service is no help, unresonable charges to credit card. I got the package in the mail and after reading all your comments and seeing that it gave me a headache I decided to return the product so I had to call customer service to get a rma number. the first time I called some lady with a major accent I could not understand tried to tell me I was wrong for wanting to send it back and that I should keep it for at least the 14 days which would then make it nearly impossible to return and not be charged, I said I wanted to return it now she got rude told me she can cut the $149 to $69 and the $59 a month for the automatic cartridge refills which again I did not sign up for down to $39. I told her no this is not acceptable I want to return the product and not be charged the $149 or the $59 each month there after. I mean I can get a carton of reg smokes for less than $59 a month so this is not really a savings for me. Well at this time she was mad and just hung up on me. So after a couple swear words I called back and finally got my RMA number which I will be putting on the package and sending back as of monday and I was told that the service was cancelled and no other funds will be taken out of my account. I will be returning within the 14 day trial. I have definitely learned my lesson of if it sounds to good to be true it definitely is. I also want to note I may have been willing to deal with this company and pay the lesser amount if I would not have been treated so rudely and hung up on the first time I called. You will be repeatedly “disconnected” by accident while trying to get an RMA number. They are rude. They lie. The product sucks. I use South Beach, which is great, but pricey, and wanted to cut some costs. Big mistake. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE company all around. They charge you for things you dont approve. They have taken so much money from me. The prado cig worked for a few days then it just stopped. I had only used it maybe 3 times and it quit. I tried replacing the filter, charging it, everthing i could think to do and it didnt work. I ordered an atomizer for it and in about 12 days after ordering it i received a charger, not the atomizer. I called customer service and they were very rude, could hardly understand anything she said, and she said she couldnt find my info and i would just have to order it and pay for it again. Right, im not going to pay another $30 for that when theyve already got hundreds of dollars from me. Dont order this product. I have tried a few and this is by far the worst one. I like efox, they are cheap and dont scam you and they have excellent customer service.

Prado is purely a scam artist. The tiny print comes after you purchase. They have no business integrity in customer relations. I was called w/in 24 hrs of purchase solicitating more purchases on my credit card. Then the fees started. Lucky I deal with citi and they dispute for me. Everyone should report to the BBB. Also has anyone noticed if you saved your email from the purchase after a few days the content of the email disappears. Has anyone noticed you cannot print or email the solicitation emails. the only thing that shows up is the address box that you fill in. Obviously they have alot to hide.

This product is fine, the charge lasts for days n days, and the cartridges last longer than several other e-cigs have claimed. I was charge 7.95$ as per their order agreement and w.e for shipping but no other charges have come up. I think some folks need to double check the date before ordering things.

I was happy to recieve my prada e-cig last week. It tasted excellent and served my goal of smoking less of the store bought cigerettes. After smoking, and then charging, changing cartridge, it now taste like burnt flavor that is no longer a useable product in which i paid for. I am not sure if this has happened to any other users, but it does does not give Prada a high rating on my account. The product itself is an excellent idea. but as is, i wasted money.

I ordered free trial did not receive everything I ordered and the next thing I know my card was charged for $100. So be careful in what you are reading. Its an Ok e-cig but I have tried others that are totally better. The others are easier to smoke and have better tasting cartridges. Sometimes after smoking The Prado I feel sick. Most of the others, after all is said and done, cost the same as the Prado. Prado just hides their fees and you feel like you’ve been scammed. But in the long run an E-Cig is a good idea and it certainly is not any worse than the real thing. I had to cancel the Prado(or else they keep charging you). I will buy the more reputable one that I feel is a better quality and does not require I leave my card on account. Bottom Line Do not order this one!

I order the e-cig from Prado, put all my credit card information on then I went to read the disclaimer and when I went back to take my info off it had already sent…then I started reading some of these scams about the company so I called my bank and told them about it, they canceled my debit card and told me to call the company which I did, i told some lady that couldn’t hardly speak english that I wanted to cancel the order, she claimed it was already sent out and it couldn’t be canceled, I asked her how could it have been sent it hasn’t even cleared my bank yet, she ignored my response and said that i should recieve it in 3 days, again I told her I didn’t want it and that I would just put return to sender, she said no ma’am you need a IME # I said well why don’t you just go ahead and give it to me and she said she couldn’t do it…and she hung up on me….SCAM, so when you go to read the disclaimer, and go back to take your credit card info off it sends it anyway….so don’t put any info on there till you read all the small fine print. The bank has canceled my card and is sending me a knew one and were disputing the charges they have on fraudulantly charged my account. Now I will turn them in to the bbb.

My rating a big zero. I already had tried the E-cig,Knight sticks,these are great. They seemed like a regular cig I smoke 100′s. Prado looked like a longer cig and probable the same. Nooooooooooooo!!! The filters are plastic and require you to pull off the old one and put on a new one. A real wrestling match. I wasn’t getting any smoke after just a few puffs out of the box. So, I charged the cig and tried again, nothing, replaced the filter after the wrestling match to get it off. I got a mouthful of something awful, and still no smoke. Reread the directions, and it something like you have to let it rest. So, I let it rest for 2 hours still no smoke but bad taste was gone. So, since I received them today I have already gone through 2 filters. I have yet to go through a whole filter of the Knight Sticks. They are advertised as a carton per filter. Which I believe. I had called prado right after I placed the order to tell them I didn’t want another order as I had ordered 2 extra packs at the time. They said they were still going to charge me $64.00 after my trial. I called my bank the min. I got my products and cancelled my card. Told them no charges after the $28.00 for the prado. I’ll keep playing with them, but won’t order any more. The Knight Sticks work great I haven’t completely quit. I have only bought 3 pks in the 3 months. If I have them I smoke them if I don’t I don’t run out in the middle of the night to buy a pack like I used to.

I recently purchased the Green Nicotine starter kit and 10 cartridges at the Tucson Mall about 2 weeks ago. Not only does the charge not last very long, i.e.,2 hours at the most, but the cartridges last about 15-20 drags-much less than a pack of cigarettes. Each cartridge averages somewhere around the cost of a pack of cigarettes, i.e., about $4.50. It is not worth it. I don’t smoke that much and still I have to smoke store bought cigarettes. The product is not what it says it is and I would not purchase anymore of the product. I would however try another product if I felt it was worth the risk of losing my money. GN has gotten the last of my money. The customer service is a joke to say the least and I have never been able to get any kind of replacement for the defective product. In fact, they blow me off everytime I call to speak to someone that can help me with my situation. It appears to me that GN is just another gimmack to get your money for something that does not meet the standards that the company claims. I have and plan to continue to tell as many people who I have the opportunity to speak with to not waste their money on this lousy product. I would have been a good customer if things were handled poperly and profesionaly, instead, I will work to notify and inform others to stay away from this product, even if I have to go the Malls and stand near the GN cart. Sorry, but maybe next time you might handle your company and it’s customers the way you should if you want to be a successful company. What a rip-off!!!! Good luck in the future, or maybe not.

I’m just writing regarding the Prado scam victims, folks your credit card charges are fully protected, you needn’t worry. You file a fraud complaint and just be patient. As long as they are still using merchant credit card accounts your money can be sucked back out of their pockets before they even know it was there. This gave me one day to try the “cigarette”, get the RMA # that the company requires in order to return the product and mail it back all within the 14 day trial period. This is, of course, impossible, which is exactly what they count on.

Thank you all for steering me away from Prado… I’m currently using Blu, which I love and X-hale o2 while I wait for Blu cartridges. The X-hale o2 aren’t as good, but are available everywhere. Another $149.90 on 8/9/10. Today 8/24/10, another $69.90 charge is pending on my credit card. The 3 people that I spoke to at Prado were completely unsympathetic. The supervisor actually yelled at me. They refuse to remove any of the charges (including the $69.90 that is pending) from my card & refuse to allow me to return the product. What I had to do was cancel my debt card. I returned the package unopened with a registered receipt. They actually charged me $100 BEFORE the trial period, and then charged me the $9.95.
My bank monitored the dates, so I know that for sure. They withdrew the $100 charge after i cancelled my card. I reported them to the Arizona Attorney General and received a letter from them saying they are investigating. My bank will cooperate, if they are asked.

In addition, the atomizer only allows you to take a drag about 2 every 20 – 30 seconds. Nothing like a real cigarette and nothing like other e-cigarettes. It is truly an inferior product.
Now for the devious part, by the time you figure this out, they claim you are past your 14 day trial period and immediately charge your credit card $149.00 for this worthless unit. I called on a Thursday, which was the 12th day of my trial. I received a recording that stated EXACTLY “There is no one available to take your call”. There was no announcement that it was the Prado Corp., no mention of when times or days they were open, just that recording. I called hourly Thursday, Friday, Saturday,and Sunday. On Saturday they charged my credit card $149.00 for the starter kit. I called my bank on Monday, they called and got through, so I called. I spoke to a so-called supervisor and she gave me an RMA # to return the unit because of the recording I received. It made no difference, 2 weeks later I received the exact same unit in the mail, stating I missed the 14 day trial time and they would not, under any circumstances, take the unit back. They were the most rude group of people I ever had to deal with. I hope every one reads this and does not make the same mistake I made. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, TRY PRADO E-CIGARETTE, THEY ARE A RUDE, ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPANY THAT SELLS A TOTALLY INFERIOR PRODUCT DEPENDING ON A SCAM AND AN IMPOSSIBLE TO MEET TERMS AND CONDITIONS POLICY TO CHARGE YOU A BOAT LOAD OF MONEY.

I recently decided to give this product a try and it was the most horrible experience with buying on-line ever. The trial period begins the day you order so by the time you receive the merchandise you have to get a return number immediately or they will not accept your return. Then after returning it they still charged my credit card for the full amount even though they received the order in accordance with the terms and conditions, and actually received it a day earlier than the trial period was even over. Their response to all of this was so sorry that’s the way it is. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT A LARGE HEADACHE AND HAVE LOTS OF TIME TO CALL THEM, AND SIT ON HOLD. I wish I could give this product and company negative rating.

it did work for me..but the problem is if u don’t have it with u,u would definitely want to smoke a regular cigarette twice as much u did before…maybe its the nicotine…always keep it charge and have an extra filter with u…goodluck

Its a good thing to note that electronic cigarettes may in fact come with a risk of some side effects like a sore throat, headache, dry mouth and bad after-taste. In the scheme of things, this seems like a small price to pay to finally be able to successfully quit smoking and to be able to avoid the dangerous risk of lung cancer to ourselves and others.
