I love your Turbo Snake! Have you ever had a clogged VACUUM? Turbo Snake works great for unclogging your vacuum. Just put it in the area where the hose is attached and twist and slowly the hairy clog can be removed. You don’t have to take your vacuum apart! Love it!

The first time I used it the end of it came off in my drain. Now I will have to spend big bucks on a plumber to get the thing out of my bathtub drain. The whole point was supposed to be avoiding calling plumbers. From other reviews, I am guessing it works fine, right up till the end comes off and completely stops up your drain. So try it if you want to play Russian Roulette hoping the end doesn’t come off each time you use it.

I bought the turbo snake from Walgreens. It sat in a drawer for a while and i continued to use drain cleaner. When i remembered that i bought it i went and got it and in a couple of seconds my drain was completely open. I dont think my tub as ever drained so fast. I love it and am telling all my friends to buy this product.

Yesterday, I bought the Turbosnake at Walgreens. The water in my was little slow going down before.
I put the turbosnake that got stuck somehow I managed to get it out It removed some stuff from the pipe, but not much.
Here is the biggest punchline, I do not know what happened, but my sink is now coplete clogged and I have to call a plumber. I have a feeling that it pushed additional dirt into the pipe.
Do not buy this product. I am returning it to Walgreens. I am so happy that I didn’t order this through the mail.
This product definitely is not deserving $9.99 as a purchase.

I forgot the rating, so here goes again . . .
I have 3 “clogged” (slow draining) drains. I saw the ad on TV. Roto Rooter cost more than 1 order of 2 turbo snakes. Taking the trap apart, I can do, but is a messy and time consuming job. I figured if this device (tool or toy) cleans out just one of my drains, it is money well spent. So I ordered, received (regular shipping $6.99, declining the 1 week guarantee at extra cost – supposed to take 6 weeks, it took only one week) and immediately tackled the first drain.
Bingo, lo and behold I pulled out hair, lots of hair, but the flow was now slower than before. I did it again, more hair AND a small diameter piece of plastic about 1 to 2 inches long (like a price tag attacher) that looked like the “cause” culprit, and now DOUBLE BINGO, the drain flow was NORMAL. In my book it did the job, and in just this one use paid for itself. Tonight I will tackle the second drain, and I’ll report tomorrow.
I’m curious what the plumber’s grade device is like – which I was offered first at an extra $10 per snake, and upon refusal, an extra $10 for both – boy they have all kinds of gimmicks . . .

The Turbo Snake did not work for me.
Review by Tom December 28, 2009
I tried the turbo snake on my sink and in just one turn, the plastic coated sheathing and velcro head stripped off, leaving me with a silver wire. I had read the directions, and worked slowly and did not tug hard on the snake when removing it fromt the drain.
Luckily, I was able to pull the stripped off piece out of the drain. Somehow, by twisting the turbo snake, it appears that it is possible that the drain stopper itself (mine is plastic) can cut into the black plastic sheathing on the sink snake, causing it to break off.
I had thrown the package away, so I can’t return it to Staples. I also tried the tub version and that seemed to remain stable, so at least I have that version in tact. I think the idea is a good one, but the fact that is broke so easily made was a disappointment. I would not recommend the Turbo Snake for this reason.

This item is to expensive for what it accomplishes. I have found the Zip It in all major stores such as Hope Depot, Walmart, etc. for only $3 to $4 and it works faster and easier. Zip It has barbs so it cleans out your drains even better. This item is nothing but a wire with cheap fuzz on the end. I now use the Zip-It, the Zip-It blows this product away!!
