When we bought our home we wanted to decorate everything new. In November of 2012 I ordered two Bungalow 5 side tables from this e-tailer. I waited to receive a follow up email regarding a ship date or estimated ship date but when I didn’t hear anything I contacted them directly. Jessica from Burke Decor helped me and while she was very nice she wan’t very informed about what was going on. It took her a while to even find out the tables were back ordered until January. She was never able to lock in an arrival date from Bungalow 5. The delivery company just called me one day and ask when I could accept the furniture.
Unfortunately the pieces arrived severely damaged. Bungalow 5 agreed to replace the tables which were back ordered again until March. At the end of February when I emailed Jessica for an update I wasn’t really surprised when she didn’t respond as this seemed to be their MO. But I was surprised that no one was answering the phones at Burke Decor when I called. Previously someone always picked up. Now, every time I called the answering machine went off. I started to wonder if the company went out of business. Eventually, after leaving several phone messages and emails some one did follow up with a delivery date for the replacement tables. When I emailed some questions about what to do with the damaged tables from the first delivery all communications seemed to come to an end. After four failed attempts to get a hold of someone at Burke Decor I contacted Bungalow 5 directly myself. The customer rep from Bungalow 5 even tried contacting Burke Decor and basically ran into the same problem of zero response. Someone from Burke Decor eventually emailed me, but this was long after I was already in touch with Bungalow 5 to work out all the issues. The new communications from Burke Decor (email only, they would not answer or return phone calls) were unsigned so you had no idea who you were dealing with. I guess this is their way to shield themselves of any responsibility.
Unfortunately the second shipment arrived and one of the two tables was damaged. I contacted Bungalow 5 directly first this time around and will work out the third replacement with them. I think it’s possible that if you order something from Burke Decor and everything arrives without problem you’d be happy with your experience, but beware that if something goes wrong you are basically on your own. Either they don’t care, or they don’t know how to deal with issues that arise, or they are going out of business and that is why they have stopped responding in any sort of timely manner. I would stay away from this e-tailer.

I ordered from Burke decor. Received the order confirmation right away
Three weeks went by no communication from them. No reply to an email I sent. I phoned and was assured my order would be shipping by the end of the week(three weeks after ordering) as it was comin in from there supplier. Another week came and went. Still no communication, still no shipment notice
There is no mention on their site that they don’t stock what they sell, and that lead times may vary
Almost a full month now after placing an order and still no word from Burke
Horrible customer relations, I will NEVER use their site again

I ordered paintable textured wallpaper and it arrived quickly and as ordered. I needed further assistance and contacted them via email. They responded quickly and with great care. I had a great experience!
