I would not recommend it to anyone with knee problems as I am 17 and have never had any kind of joint issues. It moves around a few inches but not bad at all, use it on carpet. I have had issues with it leaving grease and ripping the carpet a bit. I put it onto a mat and no issues. It really works you out, spend 5 min on it and I am exhausted. I love the arm bands. I find it fun and easy to use. Its not unstable at all. when you step on it I feel very safe, secure and its not wobbly or anything. Very sturdy. It squeaks a little but in comparison to other exercise equipment its quiet. Overal 4.5 for a small portable home equipment item. I payed $40 for mine off cragslist and its worth it I like it lots.
