ANYBODY THAT BELIEVES THIS SCAM IS AN IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ‘FUSHIGI’ IS A COPY AND A FRAUD!FIRST OF ALL, IT IS CALLED CONTACT JUGGLING AND SECOND OF ALL, IT IS DEFINATELY NOT A NEW PRODUCT! I HAVE BEEN CONTACT JUGGLING FOR YEARS, AND AM ENRAGED AT THE FACT THAT NOW PEOPLE THINK THAT ANYBODY CAN DO IT!!! LASTLY, IF YOU ARE STILL INTERESTED IN FUSHIGI, PLEASE GO BUY A REAL ACRYLIC CONTACT JUGGLNG BALL OFF OF A JUGGLING WEBSITE BECAUSE FUSHIGI IS MADE OF CHEAP PLASTIC AND IS WAAAAAY LIGHTER THAN A NORMAL CONTACT JUGGLING BALL….. OH, AND WHAT IS WITH THE DARK MIDDLE PART??? However, I thought, unlike the product, the review was very nice!

Fushigi is actually a brand name ball used for a art form called Contact Juggling. You need good instruction, patience, and hours of practice to master the moves shown on commercials.
The Fushigi ball is meant to be a beginner ball- it comes with an instructional DVD and the ball is half metal half acrylic. This is important as a regular acrylic ball will act as a magnifying glass (starting fires) if left in the sun. However it NOT EVEN A GOOD BEGINNER BALL! Being made of the material it is, it is heavy. Starting out with this kind of weight can cause tendon strain and potential arm injury! Not only that, but when learning how to Contact Juggle, you will drop (drop meaning drop or accidentally throw across the room) the ball A LOT. Heaver balls like this will break TV screens, laptops, plates, mugs, and hurt your own body, others, or your pets. Many people have figured this out the hard way. Also the outer shell is made of acrylic which scratches easily. Therefore when you actually get the moves, the scratches and dents will ruin the illusion you are trying to create. Top it all off, there are Fushigi balls that AREN’T EVEN BALANCED CORRECTLY! They do not center the metal sphere perfectly in all the balls, making the balance off and the moves even harder to learn!
The instructional DVD features a man called The Amazing Kenny, who is well renowned for his Contact Juggling. You can find his instruction on YouTube (with permission from Kenny).
The false advertising that Fushigi is a “magic gravity ball”, and that you can just pick it up and do these moves have also created a huge problem in the Contact Juggling community. People who have worked years to gain skill, and even those who do this professionally, are being called frauds because people say that they use a “rigged ball”. It’s quite sad.
If you want to learn contact juggling, pick up a Stage Ball or Sil-X ball. There are plenty of Magic/Juggling shops on and off line that carry these balls. They are made of rubbery material and lighter so they will not damage any thing/one when dropped. Best size would be 100mm, possibly smaller for children. When you improve you may want to buy a acrylic ball for better visual effects when performing.
It is marketed falsely, it is not a balanced ball (low quality) and is not for beginner which it is essentially a beginner package. If you are a experienced juggler you can manipulate this ball with ease and it looks quite nice- like an acrylic with a twist. But then again I’ve seen tea cups and oranges juggled just the same by an experienced contact juggler also. Also if you do your research you’ll see people get scammed when ordering from the website.

BUYER BEWARE OF UNWANTED PRODUCTS THAT MIGHT BE CHARGED:
I want to make sure that ANYONE EVEN THINKING OF ORDERING THIS know what’s up. This product looks pretty cool and very well may be. What ISN’T is a call that you get saying, “Thanks for your order, we are sending you $100 worth of free gas cards” You think, “Wow, that’s really nice.” for only $1. THEN they tell you the rest. We’ve also signed you up to receive (with no request to do this BY YOU except for telling you NOW on the phone) a discount card good at different places for only $29.95/month. It’s up to YOU to cancel this. They ALMOST caught me on this last night because my husband and I have to be up early for work, so we go to bed early. The company is on Pacific Time, so they called at 8:30pm my time, and I was ALMOST asleep. Luckily, before the phone call ended, I said, “Now wait, let me get this straight. I bought one product, and ONE product only and your company has went and signed me up for something completely different? Is that LEGAL?” Then the guy said, “Oh well if you don’t want it, we won’t send it.” I told him that was exactly what I wanted and not to bother signing me up for anything again, then hung up.

Do not order from the fushigi.com website. They are a rip off. I ordered one ball and they billed me for two balls and two videos. Please google the reviews and see for yourselves. All of the reviews are also saying that they are selling the credit card info they are getting and people are getting swamped with telemarketing calls. This is just another rip off in this fu**ed up world.

Hi there!
I hate to burst some readers’ bubbles, but most of what you’ve heard is modern marketing hype surrounding an invention that has existed for roughly twenty years (and in the case of multi-ball work, since about the 1500′s).
What the Fushigi ball actually is, is a solid chrome sphere surrounded by a thin layer of acrylic or polycarbonate. Previous contact juggling balls were made of pure crystal, acrylic, chrome, rubber, or even wood! The original Fushigi ball was simply an acrylic contact juggling ball, but it had the unfortunate side effect of causing fires if left in direct sunlight, which is why they have now stuck a chrome ball in the center.
Just to be clear, there is no magic trick or gimmick, no mechanism inside that actually make it defy gravity and float away. This is a perceptual illusion called “isolation”, which you can see in many Youtube videos if you search for “contact juggling”.
I do have to say, though, that any acrylic ball, even a Fushigi ball, looks quite striking when maneuvered correctly. But contrary to what is implied in the commercials, be aware that the artists involved have put in many months if not years perfecting the visual aspects of this beautiful art form! And there’s a reason for that: contact juggling is extremely addictive!!
