This is not to say the dispenser itself stayed clean for long. We have to clean off excess toothpaste (put there by my adorable children) from the push bar daily and if we miss a day we regret it. Cleaning is made harder because my one of my children managed to break the little plastic "axles" off the push bar, so I had to drill it and fit screws. In all the product does what it claimed to do.
