Also just a side fast note preset one of your station finders to 99.3 so you do not fumble with tunning when you receive a call.

I will give it a 2.5 out of 5 it is not designed for all vehicles but will say like the other person what do you expect out of $20.00. You get what you pay for. And well not a bad gadget for the price.

I can deal with the inconvenience of plugging it in, turning it on, answering the phone and hitting the appropriate pre-set button on the radio. After a few calls I got the routine down. It’s sort of like sex or riding a bicycle, (neither of which I prefer to do “hands free”). But the best thing about it, IMHO, is being able to actually hear the caller.

I have severe hearing loss and HATEd having to use the damn cell. It’s (was) frustrating, aggravating, annoying and a dozen other things you don’t want to get into.

Bottom line, long and the short, skinny on this thing is: It’s GREAT! And I didn’t have to shell out 50 grand on a new car with all the latest electronic bells and whistles, most of which would go unused (as one well meaning friend suggested).

And if you can afford to put gas in the tank you can afford a GPS so you dont have to blab to someone about directions.

I received my Jack last week and I love it!! I am one of those people who can’t drive and do anything else at the same time,lol. I have had quite a few accidents, but now I feel like I can talk with only moderately diminished driving ability. I am like most all drivers as I need to talk to everyone while I drive and get the latest gossip, news and trivial updates of other peoples lives. Now I drive just so I can receive calls and look like a dork talking to my dashboard,lol

The only problem I encountered is you have to always have your radio tuned to receive a call. I plugged mine into my phone but was listening to another radio station, later checked my phone and had a few missed calls. I left it plugged it into my cell phone, but turned it off, and the same thing happened. Now when I have an incoming call, I have to plug the jupiter jack into my cell phone, turn it on then tune into the radio station which is really a pain because I drive a stick shift and having a hands free unit is what I needed. All in all, the sound quality is pretty good, and what do you expect for $10.00

I just got a JJ and find that it works well … but am wondering if I have to listen to a channel of 99.3 or can i also listen to a channel of my choice and still get calls…

I BOUGHT TWO JUPITER JACKS, AND THEY BOTH WORK FANTASTIC!!! I HAD NO STATIC DURING THE CONVERSATION, AND I HEARD MY BROTHER CLEARLY, AND HE HEARD ME CLEARLY. ABSOLUTELY NO “I CAN’T HEAR YOU, WHAT’S THAT NOISE IN THE BACKGROUND” KIND OF THINGS. WITH THE MOUNT AND THE RIGHT LOCATION (FOR EASE OF USE), IT IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
