ShamWow has a pretty amazing commercial, I actually got excited the first time I saw it
Just in case you haven’t seen the commercial, watch it here, it’s hilarious.
After seeing the commercial about five times, I decided I’d order them and try them out and see if they lived up to the hype. So I created my own ShamWow review.
I’ve had good success with some as seen on TV products in the past, but before it even arrived, I assumed the worse for ShamwWow. When it arrived, however, I was very surprised at the quality.
When I first received my super-towels, the first thing I wanted to do was reenact the commercial and soak up a bunch of water from a bowl.
Things look a lot nicer on TV with camera angles and video editing, but my little test worked surprisingly well. The little towel actually soaked up a ton of water.
The next thing I tried was soaking up soda from the carpet. I didn’t, of course, the carpet in my living room, just in case it didn’t work, but I tried it on a scrap piece of carpet I had sitting in the garage. It was fantastic, the ShamWow pulled up the cola before it had a chance to stain the carpet. If I catch the spill soon enough, I bet I’ll never have a stained carpet again.
The ShamWow was extremely absorbent, but I also wanted to see how durable they were.
I have washed a few of the towels in my washing machine twice and they still seem to hold up really well. I didn’t pay any attention to the ShamWow guy and his 10-year warranty until I saw that they might actually last that long.
Having a ShamWow towel in my kitchen has saved me a bunch of money on paper towels. It also cut down on the amount of garbage I throw out. Which I love since it’s so good for the environment.
ShamWows really do work well and, as dorky as it is, I honestly said “wow” the first time I used one my ShamWow towels.
Do not order ShamWow from TV because you can find them cheaper online.

I have used SHamWows for two years. I have used up my second box! With a lot of cats and dogs they come handy for accidents, spills and messes several times a day. They have been washed a lot and even with holes in them, they soak up just about anything! Now I can’t find them at retail stores anymore and I need a new set. Guess I’ll have to order online. I can’t be without them anymore.

I consider the Sham Wow towels to be a complete Wow Scam! They are not at all absorbent. Doesn’t even soak up the water off my dog after a walk in the rain. Paper towels do a much better job than these.

I got 2 sets of them and use them only on my car and motorcycle.
I thought they were stretching the truth about how much water they suck up, but they are really thirsty rags. I dry about a third of the car, wring it out and it’s like a new sponge. On the bike it’ll wipe the whole thing down without having to wring it out til I’m done. they aren’t cheap, but they’re worth it to me.

The shamwow to me is a scam. I bought these at a retailer and was very excited to use them. I was dissapointed however, when they were put to the test. Not only did the product not soak up water, it smeared it in a manner that it made even normal paper towels had difficulty soaking it up. When i washed them to test the durability, one of them fell apart in the washer. All in all, i was very dissapointed in this product and will not purchase television endorsed lies any longer.

The ShamWow exploded onto the As Seen on TV scene years ago, but unlike most infomercial products, it is still being sold. The so called “super towel” has even appeared on the late night TV show Conan O’Brien.
The guy with the spiky hair makes the ShamWow look like a miracle towel the way he wipes up everything from water to soda through the carpet. The commercial also brags that the ShamWow can sop up wine and pet stains before they stain the carpet for good. The ShamWow is also touted for use as a perfect polishing sham cloth — hence the name.
The super-absorbent towel is billed as having the ability to soak up twenty times its weight in liquid because of its German-engineered fabric. The fabric is also washable and bleachable.
The ShamWow order comes with eight towels, which are guaranteed for 10 years.

Wow. I received these for Christmas. It was everthing the box said it was.
I had to fix a broken toilet and sham soaked up

good: As absorbant as described in the informercial
bad: I threw it into a washing machine for a 2-hr cycle. After the cycle, the Shamwow towel seemed deteriorated in texture. So I would advise users not to over-wash the shammy.

I bought these at a home and garden show booth. Most of the products that I have bought at fairs, shows, etc., have not worked as well as the demo selling them did. Not so with sham wows. They work as advertised. My washing machine had a problem recently and caused a huge water flood in my laundry room. The sham wows were able to get all the water up in record time. Best of all I didn’t have to move the washer and dryer at all. I just pushed a sham wow under each and it sucked all the water from underneath!

The commercial looks like they might be a scam, but once you get used to them and try them a few times, you find out that they work quite well.

I picked up my set online for slightly cheaper, as some people suggest. I just have to say these towels are AMAZING they will truly change the way you look at towels forever. It’s almost a religious experience I even heard Jesus Christ Himself used these to perform some of the miracles.

We got a set of these for a gift. Frankly I thought it a strange gift but they come in handy. I keep one in the garage for washing the car and it dries it quite well. I also keep the others under the sinks for cleaning and wiping up and they are quite absorbent.

Wow Shamwow! haha. The guy’s enthusiasm is infectious, I never thought I’d buy something like this, but had to try it out. I leave one in the kitchen, one on the bathroom floor and one in the car. I don’t think I could ever be AS excited as the Shamwow guy, but I’m getting there!

I got a free set of shamwow towels when I bought 1 set of Shamwow from a guy at the fair.
I bought the first set to use under my dog’s food and water dish because using newspapers got so messy. I use another Shamwow as a bath mat for when I get out of the shower and the other shamwow to clean up spills in the kitchen.
It’s been 6 months and my shamwow towels are still holding up strong. I havent even started using all of the shamwows from the second set I got for free.
I will save the other large shamwows for my husband to wash his car with next spring.

Shamwow is awesome! I love my shamwows and I love the commercial. My favorite part is when he says “cut it in half – BAM 2 shamwows!” I even said that when I cut one of my Shamwows in half!

ShamWow is a great towel but they ask for too much on the TV commercial so if you want to buy Shamwow then you should order ShamWows online because you can get them cheaper.
