First new wave I bought was in 2004. It had a infrared light and it died the first time I used it. Sent it back and they paid for return shipping and got my money back. A year ago, my wife purchased a new wave oven and I was a little upset and told her how she had wasted her money. I noticed that the infrared light had been replaced with coils, excellent move. After 15 months of continuous use, I am amazed it keeps going. Our oven and microwave will last forever because we almost never use them. It is tough to keep clean because it is in constant use. What I like the best is that instead of eating soggy food from microwave, we get crispy food. The moment this new wave dies, we will morn its passing long enough to get the next one.

I use the Nu-wave and it was working ok for about few times then the motor quit working. Light came on but when I adjust the temperature, it will not go up and down. im thinking of trashing it.

Does anyone have an actual study of how harmful BPA is, which is in the poly dome of the Nuwave? A Nuwave rep told me that as long as food doesn’t touch the dome, it should be safe. However, isn’t the BPA toxin released into the air surrounding your food? Also, the first thing I cooked was chicken. It came out very poorly even though it wasn’t over-cooked. Thank you for your info.

I just goy my NuWave oven yesterday and slapped skinless breast chicken in my NuWave and not happy it was not juicy and dry, very disappointed. I will try again today with a small turkey

The top is plastic not glass as reading the web site would make one believe. If you don’t mind plastic in your food then it’s a great oven.

I purchased a Nu-wave oven. TV ad shows how fast the cooking was. How tender the chicken & pork roasts were after cooking in the Nu-wave oven. I liked it so much that I’m returning it. I cooked a chicken according to the directions and it took longer than a conventional oven. I then tried a pork roast and had the same problem. Neither one was cooked throgh. I finished both of them in my conventional oven. As for saving time….forget it! It took longer in the Nu-wave oven. For the price, it should cook the foods without my help. I’ll stick with my conventional oven. Thanks but no thanks.
